Thomas joins the WEA team in our Hoxton office.
Thomas completed an Meng in Engineering and Planning in Lyon, France in 2015. He developed a strong interest for housing issue and for his master’s thesis, he worked on fuel poverty, developing tools to identify and measure fuel poverty at a local level in France. Having gained experience in planning policies in Cork City Council, being involved in the city’s town centre action plan, Thomas decided to move to the UK to develop a career in UK planning.
He joined an architecture and planning practice in North London in January 2017. He started as a trainee, learning about the English planning law and the planning application process. He then became a planning consultant advising clients and working with the in-house architectural team to ensure the schemes would gain planning permission.
Having gained this experience, Thomas joined WEA Planning in April 2019 and, since then, has utilised his detailed knowledge of architecture, property development and planning policy to provide valuable consultancy to our clients. He is using his planning experience working on site appraisals and pre-planning applciation, property development advice, planning strategy, design guidance and the preparation of planning applications and appeals while he is working towards his Chartered Membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute.
