Brent’s Local Plan comprises of the Core Strategy adopted 12th July 2010, Development Management Policies adopted in November 2016 amongst other documents.
The Council has started work on a new Local Plan which will shape how the borough is developed to 2036. From August to December 2017 the Council undertook some engagement events while from 8thFebruary to 22ndMarch 2018 consulted on an ‘Issues and Options’ document. The comments are now being considered and the new local plan is expected to be adopted by 2020.
The Draft Brent Design Guide Supplementary Planning Document is also open for consultation until 5thJuly 2018.
